HOW will
YOUR CONTRIBUTION HELP?
Some of the programs that have been successfully implemented include
a Summer Swim Program, Adaptive Bicycle Camp and a Holiday Toys for
Autism campaign. We also fulfill requests from our local Special
Olympics teams.
In support of the staff of the Sussex Consortium school, the local
award-winning program of the Delaware Autism Program, we sponsor
staff appreciation events, peer mentor recognition and awards, and
provide supplemental supplies to enhance the educational experiences
of local autistic children. Through the LDAF Scholarship Fund we
have contributed $33,900 to the staff at the Sussex Consortium who
are either pursuing additional coursework to gain advanced degrees
and/or to maintain their certification for employment with the Cape
Henlopen School District. Scholarships have also been awarded to
qualified high school and college students who have plans to pursue
a degree in Special Education.
Your generous donations are used to maintain these existing programs
and services. Contributions may also be earmarked for our long-range
goals of providing both quality residential and vocational
opportunities for the adult autistic population of lower Delaware.
If you would like to earmark your donation for LDAF's Milestones
Project, please make a notation on your check in
the memo line. |
