LDAF Adaptive Bike Camp at Mariner Middle
School in Milton, DE. Facilitated again this year by Dr. Richard
Klein, Ph. D., of Lose the Training Wheels, LLC, the program helps
children ages 6 and up learn how to master a two-wheeled bike through
the use of a series of adapted bikes and the assistance of one-on-one
trainers. |

LDAF Day Camp Program at Children's Beach
House. The LDAF Day Camp Program is designed to help children with
autism increase self-confidence, improve peer and social
interactions, and encourages campers to discover and pursue their own
unique interests and goals. Enrollment for this program is closed. For

LDAF Summer Swim Program every Friday
(weather permitting) from 10:00am – 11:00am at the Plantations Pool in
Lewes, DE. The swim program supports the development of appropriate pool
conduct and safety, water and pool acclimation, physical fitness and
muscular development, as well as providing opportunities for peer to
peer social interaction and communication in a safe and supportive
environment. |

LDAF Staff Appreciation Party for the
Sussex Consortium. Over 150 professionals and para professionals
from Sussex County Consortium and schools across Sussex County that work
with children with autism enjoyed calypso music, good food, dancing and
even the limbo at the Rusty Rudder! LDAF recognized three people for
their outstanding commitment to the children in our community. Chris
Dispoto, owner of Rehoboth Car Wash, not only sold raffle tickets for
the Corvette, but his staff washed, waxed and detailed the car after
every LDAF event! Patricia Burkett was recognized as the Para
Professional of the year and Audrey Cordrey was recognized with the
honor of Teacher of the Year. Thank you to everyone who attended for a
fun evening! |
